Born to Farmers in Punjab India, I came to Canada when I was three years old in 1974 and lived in Leslieville, Toronto. Life was tough for me growing up with racial discrimination and school yard fights, but it was harder still for my “illiterate” parents. I can still remember my mom with bandaged knees going to work and my father double shifting to provide for the seven of us. Though they didn’t speak English, they always encouraged us to study and work hard to be successful.
I’m grateful for my father taking a leap of faith and migrating to Canada in 1972 with nothing in his pocket and then sponsoring the rest of the family. I’m sure he gathered strength from his faith and being a Sikh priest, he raised me to be honest and ethical in all my business affairs. To care, give and share my earnings with those who have less.
I’m blessed living in Toronto and being able to help clients buy and sell the most expensive asset they will ever own in their lives. It’s an honor to have the confidence and trust of my clients. My clients knowing what they tell me is strictly confidential and that I will work hard to serve their best interests. That they will always get the truth and no BS.
My journey as an entrepreneur started when I was 9 years old. Selling ice-cream at the beach and flowers on downtown street corners. Then spending 60-70 hour summers at Kohinoor foods at Gerrard St. Indian Bazaar. Then paying my way through York University and running a Internet Printing company along with my sister. In 2007, I started my real estate career by investing and quickly got my license and learned the pre-construction condo & housing markets.
I’m a strong advocate in skill development and education. Hence, I got my Broker’s designation, Accredited Seniors Agent, Certified Negotiation Expert, I blog, publish videos, and teach tech-training to my fellow Realtors.
